Virtual Policy Guide for Parents

Online Technology Requirements: All campers need to download Adobe Connect Meeting before camp begins. The camper and parent must join one 30-minute training session during the week of July 5, 2020. This session will consist of a 1:1 training session with a member of the AICL staff. An invite with available times will be sent out via email one week before the scheduled week of training.

Online Code of Conduct: All campers must adhere to the AICL online code of conduct. Online activities are not allowed to be recorded. No private chats are allowed in a class or meeting room. Anyone receiving threatening or inappropriate chat messages should immediately report it to the counselor, teacher or camp director. It is a best practice to create a virtual background that is fun and appropriate for campers who are under 18. The teacher and/or director has the right to determine if a virtual background is unsuitable. There is to be no cyberbullying, sexual harassment, or any other threatening behavior online. No camper should ever provide their home address, phone number or email address to anyone. Camper should log into each class session using the link provided by AICL at camp registration.

Disciplinary Actions: During any of AICL's summer camp programs, if any campers prove to be dangers to themselves, dangers to others, and/or consistently, significantly impede camp programming, it is at the directors' discretion to remove campers' permission to join and/or continue to attend virtual camp sessions.. Additional behaviors that could be grounds for dismissal from camp include bullying and harassment. Campers found with illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, alcohol, or weapons in view of the camera will also be removed from virtual camp. In such circumstances, directors will contact campers' parents/guardians, and campers will be removed from the program immediately. There will be no refund of tuition.
